The group Citizens Climate Lobby is talking about climate change in the Ag building at this year's Central Washington State Fair.

Spokesperson Alex Amonette says they lobby congress to enact a revenue neutral carbon fee and dividend to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and stimulate the economy. Amonette tells KIT News their research shows, “Unless we contain the global warming below the four degrees Fahrenheit or less that scientists say is manageable our average global temperatures will rise between 7 and 9 degrees Fahrenheit by 2100.”

Amonette also says that is a big concern for agriculture in the Yakima Valley because she claims it could lower agriculture productivity by one percent per decade while demand increases.
