So what are you doing this weekend? How are you going to use your spare time? Here’s an idea - don’t use it in a debate of choosing money over time!

It’s counter intuitive isn’t it?  “Money can’t buy happiness”  Says who?  Let ME be the judge of that!  The idea of having more money may seem appealing, but new findings reported on by the Daily Mail show that choosing more time over more money is likely to leave you happier.

Researchers from UCLA's Anderson School of Management asked over 1,000 U.S. adults to make the choice between more time or more money.  Money wins by a 2 to 1 margin with about 61 percent choosing money  and about 39 percent choosing more time.

Participants also reported their subjective happiness and life satisfaction which revealed those who indicated the strongest preference for more time were also the most happy.

Scientists say that in order to be happier, people should focus on how best to spend their spare time and money, rather than focusing on not having enough of either.
