Yakima Police were able to reunite a 22 month old child with a napping grandfather Tuesday after the child was found standing in the street in the 900 block of South 12th Avenue near Larson Park. Police spokesman Mike Bastinelli says when officers arrived they found the child and began a search for the child's parents or guardians. "We found out the grandfather who was supposed to be watching the child was found sleeping in Larson Park." Bastinelli says after the grandfather and child were reunited the mother, who was at the nearby Yakima Valley Community College arrived and was arrested on an outstanding warrant on an unrelated matter.
