Charges Filed in Toppenish Murder

KNDO

The couple accused of murdering a 23-year-old man and stuffing his body into the trunk of his girlfriend’s car in late June were charged with second degree murder Monday in Yakima County Superior Court.

Yakima County Sheriff Deputies say tribal police found the body of 23-year-old Alberto Gabriel-Martinez in the trunk of his girlfriend’s car in Toppenish on June 23 but deputies say she isn’t a suspect.

Deputies arrested 20-year-old Guillermina Sanchez-Cardenas of Sunnyside, and her boyfriend, 22-year-old Elliot White of Toppenish. They’re both in jail on $1 million bonds, facing second degree murder charges.
