Change of Command at Yakima Firing Center

The Yakima Training Center will hold a Change of Command Ceremony and a Change of Responsibility Ceremony today.

Lt. Col. Michael J. Daniels will relinquish command to Lt. Col. R. Darrell O’Steen Jr. on the YTC Parade Field.  Lt. Col. O’Steen’s most recent assignment was with the United States Army Armor School at Fort Benning, Ga.  Lt. Col. Daniels is going to the Army Personnel Center, Fort Knox, Ky.

Command Sgt. Major Joseph E. Santos will relinquish responsibility for the soldiers of the training center to Command Sgt. Major Christopher A. Raube in a concurrent Change of Responsibility Ceremony.

Raube’s most recent assignment was as the Alpha Company 1st Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group Company Sergeant Major. He has deployed eight times to Afghanistan, six in direct combat, three times to Africa and to numerous other deployments.
