This week Washington is getting ready to cheer for the cross-state rivalry known as the Apple Cup. Fans are donning their favorite teams colors and waving their flags -- the crimson and gray for the Cougars of Washington State and the purple and gold of the Huskies of the University of Washington.

To get into the fun of the week, I was looking on Facebook at all the trash talking between the Cougs and Dawgs when I saw I had received a notice from a friend mine who has just finished writing a book. That led to an interview on KIT's Morning News.

Earlier this week we chatted with Darin Watkins, who is a director at the Edward R. Murrow School of Communications, and author of a book about the 1916 Washington State Cougars Rose Bowl team. It's called "Chance of Glory."

We here at KIT have been answering calls from listeners about this book. So let us help you learn more about it. Click Here for all the details about Chance for Glory! And GO COUGS!

And here's the audio of his talk with KIT's Dave Ettl:
