Central City Comic Con Opens In Yakima

Thousands of people who love comics and love to dress up like their favorite characters will be in Yakima this weekend for the Central City Comic Con or Convention. One of the organizers John Riggs tells KIT News you may not recognize those in attendance. "There's movies, tv shows...the number one movie every week is usually based on a comic book, a tv show or the video games. And it's encompassing all of that nerdness and it's ok to wear it all on your sleeve." Thousands of people from throughout the state are expected to attend. The convention will feature special guests, contests demonstrations and special exhibits. Central City Comic Con opens at 5:00 p.m. on Friday and wraps up on Sunday night.
