If you are of a particular vintage you may recall that the Beatles sang a song about the Taxman.  Beatles founder, legend, knight - Sir Paul McCartney probably needs a good tax accountant.  In a CelebrityNetWorth.com poll Sir Paul tops the list as the world's richest lead singer, with an estimated fortune of $795.2 million.U2’s Bono trails at number two with 2-hundred million less -- $595.2 million.

Following were Jimmy Buffett at $396.8 million, Elton John with $318.4 million and Mick Jagger with $302.4 million. Sting, Bruce Springsteen, David Bowie, Axl Rose and Steven Tyler also chart high, while only two women have earned mentions on the list -- No Doubt's Gwen Stefani takes 29th place with $80 million and Fleetwood Mac's Stevie Nicks is at 38 with $64 million.
