Who doesn't love a baby shower?   Ok gentlemen, put your hands down, I get it,  but I'm not really talking to you.   Lower Valley Ladies, it's to you I say that the Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic and Astria Toppenish Hospital are partnering to offer Lower Valley moms a baby shower.

The baby shower is open to moms at least 28 weeks pregnant and will include food, games, gifts, and a hospital tour. Expectant mothers will also hear from local health professionals about available resources, and what to expect before, during, and after delivery.

Jessica Johnson, Community Relations Coordinator says, “Our goal at the baby shower is to introduce moms to all the services Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic and Astria has to offer,”

Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic resources at the event include: WIC, Community Health Services, Breastfeeding Peer Education, Primary Care Nutrition Services, and the Lower Valley Parents as Teachers group. Also on hand at the event will be Astria Toppenish Hospital representatives.

Moms are invited to the free baby shower on Wednesday, July 18, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at Astria Toppenish Hospital, located at 502 West Fourth in Toppenish.   A baby shower for Spanish speaking moms will be offered the same day from 12:30 to 3 p.m.

Call (509) 865-1506 or text “ForBaby” to 85511 to register.
