The President, who was supposed to put an end to troubled race relations in this country once and for all, today presides over a nation more divided by race than in decades. Racial tensions are very much alive as President Obama makes note of a milestone anniversary of the nation’s Civil Rights Act.

We often think of museums simply as places where the old and the antiquated are on display but the focus this Thursday at the Yakima Valley Museum is very much current and in the news today.  Thursday marks the 50th anniversary of the landmark Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the museum will feature a program celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Civil Rights Act.

Tickets include dinner and show starting at 6:00pm. Admission is $30.
