Dave’s Diary:Boredom Ends at the Thin Blue Line
I am not a nine-to-fiver by any stretch. I get bored easily and I need variety of things going on on the job. Turns out I’m not alone. According to a U.K. survey of approximately 100 workers, nearly 25 percent said they felt bored most of the time and that it hurt their job performance. Eighty percent of workers surveyed said that being bored at work makes them lose concentration. More than 50 percent said that chronic boredom led them to make on-the-job mistakes.

The Pollution Control Officer for the Yakima Regional Clean Air Agency has declared a Stage 1 Burn Ban for both the Upper and Lower Yakima County areas, due to residual smoke originating from the Cle Elum wildfire.
