Yakima’s Med School To Expand

 

  

Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences has been a terrific addition to Yakima. Now the good gets even better!  PNUHS will host a  public groundbreaking ceremony on June 12 at 10:30 a.m. at the College of Osteopathic Medicine, Butler-Haney Hall (BHH).  This $5 million Phase II addition to BHH will add 22,000 sq. ft. to the university’s main academic center, including two large auditorium classrooms and offices. The project is slated to be finished by fall, 2013.

Would Ben Franklin do mattress promotions on radio today?  I'll bet he would...currently I do promotions for Sleep Country USA and in partial payment I get to sleep on an awesome Temper Pedic mattress.  I think it was a wise decision to partner up with them…but it seems my wisdom may have come from somewhere other than the great night’s sleep I get with my bed. A recent study seems to debunk Franklin's beloved old adage: "Early to bed, early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise."

Just In Time For Summer-WA Most Bike Friendly State

For the fifth consecutive year, the League of American Bicyclists named Washington No. 1 “Bicycle-Friendly State” in the country. The announcement comes as Washington celebrates National Bike Month in May and encourages bicycling to work, on errands and for recreation.

 “With support from the highest levels of government, (Washington) leads the nation in creating new bicycle infrastructure and using federal funds for bicycle and pedestrian projects,” according to the league.
