Day Of Service To Clean Up Parts Of Southeast Yakima – Dave’s Diary

Cleanliness is next to friendliness, or something like that.  But what I'm really trying to say is that the City of Yakima is announcing that folks living in a section of Southeast Yakima will have the opportunity to help spruce up their neighborhoods on Saturday during a One-Day Community Cleanup event being sponsored by the City of Yakima, Shields Bag and Printing, Yakima Valley Partners – Habitat for Humanity, Yakima Waste Systems, and the Greater Yakima Chamber of Commerce.

Hands On Activities For Kids Friday At The Museum — Dave’s Diary

The 4th annual Blossom Festival take place at the Yakima Valley Museum this Friday from 5 to 7:30 p.m. It’s a hands-on extravaganza of fun for kids.  Activity booths will be themed to match the different exhibits found in the museum including decorating and planting a flowerpot to take home, face painting, hair feathers, crafts, music, games and more!  Child-friendly food and beverages will be served and included in your ticket price
