The Yakima City Council will meet for a study session Tuesday to talk about the possibility of putting a car tab fee on the ballot. Council members had decided against it in the past. In a recent survey, the city learned that 50 percent of residents support a car tab fee, which is why the issue is back on the table. City officials say that many of Yakima's 802 miles roads need major repair and are crumbling. Coming up with the money to make repairs could be left up to voters. The study session is set for Tuesday morning at Yakima City Hall.
