Car Stolen in Fruitvale Area Monday Morning

Yakima Police say a 35-year-old man was assaulted and his car stolen in a robbery in the 1600 block of Fruitvale Boulevard at about 12:30 a.m. Monday.

When police arrived to the scene, they found the victim bleeding from his head. He told officers a female he had just met asked for a ride to the Fruitvale area.

When they arrived at the destination, a man assaulted him, took his property and stole his gray 2001 Dodge Stratus with license ADS6140.

The victim was treated at a local hospital and released. No arrests have been made.

Anyone with any information is asked to call the Yakima Police Department at 575-6200.
