As the New Year rolls on, those who are resolute to lose weight are looking for any kind of motivation that might push them toward their goals.  Any port in a storm, right?  So how about this. To lose weight go to the museum instead of the gym.  Seriously.

Swiss researchers ran an interesting experiment in which they measured how much people ate after being exposed to a picture of "thin sculptures".  They then compared food consumption by a group that didn’t see the picture.

The test subjects who were exposed to the image of the thin sculptures ate less food compared to the people who didn't see the photograph. Interesting huh?

Time magazine reports that the scientists believe that environmental cues may nudge people in the right direction when it comes to making food choices. (TIME)
