Calling the Cops? Yeah, There’s an App for That

If you have a smartphone, the Yakima Police Department has a new app you can download to keep in touch with the city. Chief Dominic Rizzi says you can do long list of things with the app.Among other things, you can report non-emergency crimes and concerns. If you have a student in a local school, there's information about school security.

“It’ll tell you every school where there’s a resource officer," Rizzi says. "How to get a hold of them. All the informationi you need if you need to contact a resource officer.”

There's also a police directory, a most-wanted area and even a link to show you who's being housed in the city jail

The app is available now for iPhones and will soon be available for Android phones as well. You'll find the Cloudspace app for the Yakima Police Department in your app store.
