Bruce Springsteen Surprises Bar Crowd in Asbury Park

ASBURY PARK, N.J. (AP) — People who went to see Joe Grushecky and the Houserockers at Asbury Park, New Jersey, Saturday only got to see them for 20 minutes. Instead they got to see two hours of Bruce Springsteen play. Springsteen gave a surprise show at the Wonder Bar and performed 15 songs. He ended the show with "Light of Day" and dedicated it to the people watching from the sidewalk who couldn't get in. Springsteen used to do surprise performances in Asbury Park quite a bit, but he's stopped doing that in recent years.
