Boy Dies In Accidental Shooting

An accidental shooting in Grandview on Tuesday resulted in the death of a  16-year-old boy. Grandview police officers were called to the house after receiving reports of gunshots. When they arrived they arrested an 18-year-old suspect. Police say the shooting happened during an illegal weapons purchase when the weapon was fired by accident striking the 16-year-old victim. The 18 -year-old suspect is expected to be charged with manslaughter. He's being held in the Yakima County Jail. Police say the incident was not gang related.
