Have you ever driven your boat after drinking? Apparently a lot of people were doing that on Lake Washington at Seafair last weekend. According to the Washington State Patrol  26 vessel operators, who were suspected of operating boats under the influence of alcohol and or drugs, were processed through the WSP Mobile Impaired Driving Unit.
The Washington State Patrol works closely with the Seafair organizers, the Mercer Island Police Department and the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife to keep the waters safe for everyone. As a result of the efforts of the WSP no boating fatalities were reported from the weekend.
