The American Red Cross and the Junior League of Yakima are partnering for an upcoming blood drive in Yakima. The drive will be held Monday, Oct. 28 from 2-7:00 p.m. at the American Red Cross donor center at 302 S 2nd St.

It is open to the public and snacks will be provided for those who donate.

KNDO reports that someone in America gets a blood transfusion every two seconds. Five million patients will need blood this year.

The Junior League of Yakima is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving the community through effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.
