Many stores in Yakima will be busy during Black Friday as shoppers look for big savings but don't forget that the next day is Small Business Saturday. Forbes Mercy President of Washington Broadband, a small business in Yakima says while Cyber Monday is coming Saturday is the day to focus on local businesses. He says small businesses in the valley give you a chance to personalize your purchase. "Shopping locally is always important to be able to see the product you want to buy. Make a relationship with a person you're buying from and all that is going to translate in a better shopping experience."
But on Monday shoppers go online during Cyber Monday. Mercy says last year consumers spent $1.7 billion online. Online shopping is expected to be up 17 percent this year from last year.  He says people spend an average of $200 per online shopping visit on Cyber Monday.
