The bikini barista controversy has pretty much subsided in Yakima, but the scantily clad ladies are still serving coffee, and possibly more, in Snohomish County.

Three bikini baristas were arrested Wednesday in Everett after a two-month undercover investigation of allegedly violating the city’s adult cabaret law.

But police clarified Thursday that they were not booked into jail and a charging decision hasn’t been made for the three, age 29, 21 and 16. The cases has been referred to the Everett City Attorney’s Office for review. That office does not handle felony cases.

“Citizens complained that these locations served more than just coffee,” said Lt. James Duffy said in a statement.

Seattle TV station KOMO covered the story.

The investigation goes back to 2010. Get more on that story here.
