Big Brush Fire Keeps Fire Crews Busy West of Yakima

Fire crews from throughout the area were battling a brush fire west of Yakima on Monday afternoon. The flames destroyed two homes and damaged a third in the area of Schuller Grade Road and South Naches Road.

A Red Cross shelter has been set up at East Valley High School.

The fire was reported at about noon.

No word on how the fire started, and no injuries have been reported.
