Bicylist Hit By Pickup in Yakima Dies

A bicyclist who was hit by a pickup truck last Tuesday has died.  25-year-old Juan Zavala died late Friday afternoonn at Yakima's Regional Hospital from injuries he suffered after he was hit on 16th Avenue near Jerome. Witnesses say Zavala's bike jumped off the curb on 16th and was hit by the pickup. After he was hit he was thrown 80 feet.  The driver of the pickup truck was not cited.
