Benton County Sheriffs Looking for Persons of Interest in Triple Murder

Sheriff's officials say they're looking for several "persons of interest" and have arrested another on unrelated charges as detectives investigate the killings of three people at a south-central Washington farm last weekend.

A Benton County sheriff's spokesman, Lt. Chuck Jones, said Tuesday he couldn't release further information without jeopardizing the investigation. The Tri-City Herald reported that authorities also disclosed at a news conference that one of the victims was pregnant with a nearly full-term baby, who did not survive.

A farmworker found the bodies of pregnant 23-year-old Abigail Torres, 22-year-old David Perez-Saucedo, and 19-year-old Victoria Torres, who was not related to Abigail, near a cornfield Saturday morning. All the victims were from Pasco and had been shot to death.

Officials said the three were seen in Umatilla, Oregon, across the Columbia River from Benton County, several hours before their bodies were found. Oregon law enforcement agencies have been assisting on the case.
