Benefits Fair to Help Veterans

A big fair is coming up that will benefit our local veterans.

It is called the "Stand Down" Veterans Benifit Fair and it is set for Saturday, Oct. 26 at the Modern Living Building at State Fair Park in Yakima.

Jon Ison works in the Veterans Division at Act Now Human Resources. He says many veterans can gain valuable services and information at the benefits fair which is all free to vets and their family members.

“There’s everything from health care to haircuts and all kinds of free counseling and job help available.”

The fair is set for 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and a free lunch is also being served.
