BEND, Ore. (AP) — Bend's population jumped about 3.4 percent between 2014 and 2015, making it one of Oregon's fastest growing cities.

The Bulletin reports that according to a U.S. Census Bureau population estimate released Thursday, Bend is the seventh fastest growing city in Oregon. The city's population as of July was estimated to be just more than 87,000.

Other central Oregon cities are also growing, with Sisters ranking fourth in the state for population increase with a 5.4 percent increase from 2014 to 2015.

Millersburg, located about 20 miles south of Salem, was the fastest growing city with a 7.8 percent increase in population.
