Bank Robbery Suspect Facing Charges

A bank robbery suspect is facing charges after being arrested at the Chase Bank branch on East Yakima Avenue Thursday afternoon. Police say the man, identified as 48 year old Steve Chandler demanded cash from a teller. But apparently it wasn't enough. So he threw the bank bag back on the counter and demanded more money. While that drama was happening employees tripped the silent alarm and police soon arrived and Chandler was arrested as he tried to run from the bank. Chandler is now being held in the Yakima County jail on bank robbery charges.
