Bank on East Yakima Avenue Robbed Saturday

Officers were called to the Bank of the West building on E. Yakima Ave. after a robbery was called in Friday night.

A man entered the bank with a note demanding money and implying that he had a weapon shortly before 6:00 p.m. The bank employee gave the suspect an unspecified amount of money before the suspect escaped on a BMX bike.

Police searched the area but were unable to locate the bike or the suspect.

The suspect is described as approximately 30-40 years of age, White or Hispanic, about 5’7″ tall and weighing roughly 220 pounds. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with a gray stocking cap.
