Espinoza was taken to a Yakima hospital then transferred to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle where he died.
According to Espinoza’s cellmate the two had been “working out” (doing exercises). Espinoza laid down on his bunk and a short time later the cellmate found him unresponsive and notified corrections staff.
An investigation is underway. An autopsy on Espinoza's body is expected Today. Results are expected to be available next week.
