The fire was reported Thursday in the southeast area of the center and was last estimated at 8,000 acres.
Miriam Fire Growing But Containment Unchanged
Bill Dean with the State Department of Natural Resources says the fire remains at 10 percent containment but it's grown from 2,250 on Tuesday to 2,655 acres Thursday.

Two More Arson Fires Reported Early Wednesday
Yakima Fire Department Capt. Jeff Pfaff says the first was reported at about 2:20 a.m. in a dumpster in the 800 block of North First Street. After dousing that fire firefighters were called to the 100 block of East I Street.
