In a news release Wednesday Governor Jay Inslee says President Obama approved the state’s request for a Major Disaster Declaration for the SR530 landslide. Governor Inslee thanked President Obama for his quick approval which makes a number of programs available to assist individuals, households, and businesses impacted by the SR 530 slide on March 22.

Washington D.C. is a great place to visit but it feels so good to be home! I’m a little over a month away from becoming a grandfather for the second time. It’s pretty exciting. Son Lance (just a coincidence) has a gorgeous little girl named Aubrey and daughter Sarah (just a coincidence) is due to give birth in May. Interestingly she has decided not to learn the sex of the baby before the bundle of joy is born. It’s kinda driving her husband crazy!
