KNDO

Yakima County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested a man in connection with the shooting of Jaime Padilla last Tuesday in the Lower Valley.

Padilla, who is 25 years old, suffered wounds to the head and upper body in the shooting on Thorp Road. He remains at Harborview in Seattle in serious condition.

On Friday, detectives arrested a 21-year-old Yakima resident in connection with that shooting. The suspect is alleged to have been with other people in a car when a confrontation occurred between the occupants of the car and visitors at the residence on Thorp road.

The investigation continues today.
