BEIJING (AP) — Apple has booted some applications from its App store — because some may have been infected with malicious code. The company says some developers in China were tricked into using software tools that added the malware to the apps. Apple has provided no details about which companies or apps were affected. But the company that puts out the popular WeChat app says it was one of those affected. It has released a new version of the app after spotting the malicious code. Chinese news reports said others affected included banks, an airline and a popular music service.
