A brush fire along Coyote Creek Road in Terrace Heights kept fire crews busy Tuesday afternoon. Seven different fire departments and the Yakima County Sheriffs Office responded to the 30 acre fire. Firefighters say the hot temperatures, dry land and high winds helped the fire spread quickly. A couple houses were in danger, but firefighters were able to save them. However, a shed was destroyed on one property.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation. There's an estimated $2,000 in damages.
