Ammonia Leak At Monson Fruit Sends 32 To Hospital

An ammonia leak at Selah's Monson Fruit Today has sent some 32 people to a local hosptial. Firefighters were called to the facility East of Selah at about 11:15 p.m. They found a number of people suffering from the effects of the leak. 32 people are now being observed at Yakima's Regional Medical and Cardiac Center. A spokesman is unaware if there are any serious injuries. Monson Fruit is located at 52 N. Rushmore Road in Selah.
