Allied Arts Closing After 50 Years

Allied Arts Facebook

It is a sad day for the arts community in Yakima as Allied Arts staff are dissolving the organization due to financial issues.

Allied Arts was part of the Yakima community for 50 years and put on many events and workshops to bring art work and culture to the city.

After years of financial issues and losing their office space last year, the organization decided they had to say goodbye. The board president said the writing was on the wall but is remaining hopeful.

There is some good news though as the Fresh Hop Ale Festival that Allied Arts puts on every fall will continue. It is ranked one of the top 10 beer fests in the country.
