It’s going to be 103 degrees this weekend! People are going to get baked!  Which is another way of saying “high on Marijuana” and of course that’s now legal in Washington state. But it’s NOT legal to be impaired and drive and worse yet, smoke, drink and drive. A new study finds that inhaling marijuana after drinking alcohol increases the concentration of THC, in the blood. THC is weed's main psychoactive component.

In the study participants were given a low dose of either alcohol, or a non-alcoholic "dummy" drink ten minutes before inhaling vaporized cannabis in either a low or high dose.

Among those who drank the alcohol, the levels of THC were found to be higher in a blood test.  Researchers say the significantly higher blood THC values with alcohol possibly explains

increased performance impairment observed from cannabis-alcohol combinations. (Researchers really talk like that!)
