The Yakima County Commissioners want to know how you feel about legalizing retail marijuana sales in the unincorporated areas of Yakima County. On Tuesday the commissioners approved a resolution that places an advisory vote on the November ballot asking if the commissioners should continue the ban on retail pot sales. Yakima County Commissioner Mike Leita says retail stores are now operating in the unincorporated areas of the county and are out of compliance with the current county ban on retail marijuana sales. He tells KIT News. "If you vote yes the ban will continue and we will enforce it. If you vote no we will create ordinances that will allow such establishments as long as they meet proper zoning requirements." The advisory vote will appear on the November ballot.
