The people are fighting back.

Following President Donald Trump's hasty executive order banning travel into the country from seven predominantly Muslim countries on the same day as International Holocaust Remembrance Day (Jan. 27), stars, along with thousands of protesters, have come out en masse around the country to decry the decision.

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), the organization currently suing the White House on behalf of two men detained at Kennedy International Airport on Friday, reports that they've already received a record number of donations over the past weekend.

CNN's Brian Stelter initially reported that the organization brought in over $19.4 million in donations on the web already in the past three days — five times as much as an average year for the ACLU, which reportedly receives about $4 million annually in donations. The figure was then updated by an ACLU spokesman to 356,306 online donations, totaling $24,164,691.

Over the weekend, stars like Sia, Judd Apatow, Rosie O'Donnell, Shark Tank's Chris Sacca and Jack Antonoff used their platform to support the ACLU, calling for their followers to tweet donations receipts their way, which they would then match.
