Dr. Raul Garcia is a former associate dean at the Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences in  here in Yakima. He is also is an emergency room physician at Yakima Regional Medical and Cardiac Center.

Dr. Garcia was born and raised in Cuba until the age of 11, lived in Spain, and then Miami, Florida.

Dr. Garcia was a guest on Thursday's Mike Bastinelli show on Newstalk KIT. He talked about growing up in Cuba under Castro, leaving that communist nation to emigrate to Spain, and then coming to the United States. He also talked about Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences, health care in the United States and his possible future politcal aspirations.
