According to a new study, simply looking at nature (even in the form of a photo!) will improves a person's ability to sustain attention.  So much for the asphalt jungle!

Researchers studied people who looked at an image of flowering meadows in the middle of completing a boring task and found they performed better than those who looked at a picture of a concrete roof. The Australian study of 150 students were given a 40-second break; those who gazed on green made significantly fewer errors than those who did not.

The study was published in the Journal of Environmental Psychology. (Daily Mail)
