Almost everyone knows someone whose life has been touched by Cancer.  But what do we know of the history of this disease that has been so pervasive and so deadly?

Your chance for a sneak peak at a three-part, six-hour PBS television miniseries, presented by award winning documentary filmmaker Ken Burns comes Tuesday March 24 at the Seasons Performance Hall in Yakima.  It’ based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning book, “The Emperor of All Maladies: A Biography of Cancer”.

The series will cover cancer from its earliest detection, to the “C” word repression of the 1950’s to the life saving clinical trials underway today

A panel discussion and Q&A follows the 40-minute film screening.

This event is free and open to the public. Space is available first come, first serve. Registration is not required, but people are encouraged to RSVP at yakimamemorial.org/PBSevent.
