It's always nice to hear about communities coming together in time of needs. A Selah couple are feeling feeling thankful from all the support given by friends, family and strangers. Gerta and Verner Woelk's home and most their possessions were destroyed in a fire on July 8th. The couple did not have insurance and live on a fixed income. They lived in the home over 40 years. Volunteers came together to have a yard sale on Saturday to raise money for the Woelk's. KIMA Action News reporting that six thousand dollars were raised and an additional 13 thousand dollars in donations have come in. A benefit dinner is being held the last weekend of August to continue to help the couple in their Eighties recover from tragedy.
