SEATTLE (AP) -- Sound Transit hopes to resume Sounder train service north of Seattle in time for Sunday's Seahawks game.

Passenger train service was halted between Everett and Seattle's King Street station for 48 hours because of a mudslide on Wednesday.

In the meantime, Sound Transit is running buses between Everett and Seattle for the Friday commute.

Sounder trains between Seattle and Lakewood are running on the regular schedule.
