For all the angst and anger expressed by Latino leaders at the recent council meeting over the city council’s decision to pursue a stay of Federal Judge Thomas Rice’s districted elections, the matter was quickly dispatched by the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.

In a procedural decision released today, the  court said the appeal should be heard by the federal district court judge who ordered the election in the first place.
