Men’s Health magazine is out with a list of what they call “NO B.S. Tips For Losing Weight”.    Hmmmm, just a guess here but I'm guessing their calendar most show Halloween candy and Thanksgiving goodies on the near horizon.  Here’s seven thoughts on what you/me need to do!
   1. Cut calories. Dietician THOMS INCLEDEO reviewed hundreds of weight loss studies and discovered that every single one requires a deficit of calories.
2. Use whey to cut hunger. Protein has been proven to keep you fuller, longer and a daily whey protein shake with fruit can keep you from binging on goodies.
3. Eat more protein. Lean animal protein like chicken, eggs, beef or pork will increase thermogenisis and burn fat. Keep them as the focus of your dinner when your metabolism is slower to burn more calories.
4. Skip refined carbohydrates. Coffee cake and a cold Coke may taste good, but will make your blood pressure spike, then leave you tired and hungry.
5. Eat more fiber. Fill up on fiber-rich veggies, whole grains or a supplement to keep your blood sugar level steady and get a boost of consistent energy.
6. Add more fish, nuts and seeds to your diet. Omega-3 polyunsaturated fats can decrease your risk of heart disease and diabetes, reduce inflammation, help your muscles recover from a workout and speed up your metabolism.
7. Make a plan. You cannot wing it and expect to drop the extra pounds! Shoot for five-to-six meals per-day, incorporating lots of lean protein, fruits, veggies and whole grains probably won't make you fat and no one ever died from skipping potatoes, pasta, rice, popcorn or white bread.
