I admit to being a fan of HGTV .  I really enjoy the skill and talent of their designers and builders and it's fun to imagine living in some of those magnificent big houses and foreign getaways villas.

One of the latest trends is the Tiny house.  The portable structures are popping up all over TV shows, but are they really trendy in real life?

Define "trend".  They do have their rabid defenders but having plenty of space is still the top concern for buyers.  Case in point - the real estate website Trulia polled more than 2,000 U.S. adults about what real estate mistakes they most regret and the results.  They found 33 percent of people wished they had chosen a larger home.

Only about nine percent wished for the cozy confines of a tiny house so it seems 400 square feet just isn't enough space for most people.

How about you?   (People )
