Yakima Police say three people are targeting elderly people in a scam that sounds similar to an incident reported in Terrace Heights last week. Spokesman Mike Bastinelli says the suspects knock on doors and say they're representing a local doctor and need to check on medical equipment or a  patient. "Once they come in the house while one of the men occupies the resident the other two go through the house and steal things." Bastinelli says the three suspects are only described as Hispanic males driving a white SUV. He says no doctor in Yakima would operate in this manner and if you get a knock on the door don't let them in and call 911. Last week 3 suspects stole money from a homeowner in Terrace Heights after telling the homeowner they were from Keelers Medical Supply and had arrived to check on medical equipment. So far no arrests have been made.
